Terms of Service
Effective date: April 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Reseed.gg (“Reseed”, “we”, “our”) that govern your use of the website at reseed.gg and any related features. By using Reseed you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Reseed is operated as an individual project based in Texas, United States. These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Reseed
You must be at least 16 years old to use Reseed. By using the service you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are acting on behalf of an organization, you also represent that you have authority to bind it.
You may use Reseed anonymously (no account) or with a Reseed account created through Clerk. You are responsible for safeguarding your Clerk credentials and for all activity under your account. If you share your browser with others, be aware that our anonymous-identity cookie treats the browser as a single identity.
2. Your account
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts to impersonate other people, evade a ban, or inflate signals.
- Your chosen username is permanent once claimed. We may reclaim a username in cases of impersonation, trademark conflict, or obvious squatting.
- You can sign in with Discord or Twitch via Clerk. Linking those accounts means we can display your handles on your public profile in line with the visibility toggles you set.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post to Reseed — sessions, descriptions, comments, Pulse posts, RSVPs, flags, and any text or URLs you enter. By posting, you grant Reseed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content to the extent necessary to operate the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account is removed, with the exceptions described in Section 9 (anonymization) and Section 10 (backups).
You are responsible for everything you post. Only post content you have the right to post.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Reseed to:
- Break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or incite violence against any person.
- Post hateful content targeting protected classes, or content that sexualizes minors.
- Spam the Pulse feed, comments, or session listings — including commercial promotion unrelated to a multiplayer game session.
- Post server passwords, Discord invites, or private-server links you do not have authority to share.
- Post cheats, hacks, exploits, piracy links, or anything that would put other users at legal or technical risk.
- Misrepresent yourself as another person or as affiliated with Reseed.
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the service in a way that exceeds reasonable human use, or circumvent our rate limits.
- Attempt to interfere with the operation of the service, including bypassing security controls or probing for vulnerabilities without permission.
- Create sessions for games whose publisher's terms prohibit the kind of play you're organizing (for example, private servers where the publisher has explicitly banned them).
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We'll act proportionally: most first-time issues are handled with a content removal and a note. Repeat or severe violations lead to account termination.
5. Game titles and cover art
Reseed displays names, descriptions, and cover art for third-party games to help you schedule sessions for them. This is nominative fair use: we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher. Game metadata is sourced from IGDB and SteamGridDB; the respective games' trademarks and copyrights belong to their owners. If you are a rights holder and believe a listing on Reseed infringes your rights, email legal@reseed.gg.
6. Reporting and moderation
Reseed includes flagging tools on sessions and a comment moderation flow. We review reports in good faith as time permits. Flagging is not a contract — we do not commit to a specific response time, and our moderation decisions are final. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal once to legal@reseed.gg within 30 days.
7. Third-party services
Signing in to Reseed uses Clerk. Connecting Discord or Twitch means you are also agreeing to those providers' terms. If a third-party service we depend on (Clerk, Supabase, Discord, Twitch, IGDB, Resend, push services) changes or becomes unavailable, the affected features of Reseed may change or be removed without notice.
8. Fees
Reseed is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, any such feature will have its own terms and will be clearly labeled. Using the free tier will not automatically enroll you in anything paid.
9. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time via your profile page or by emailing privacy@reseed.gg. When you delete your account:
- Your account row and linked identifiers (email, Discord ID, Twitch ID) are removed from our database.
- Content you authored — sessions, comments, RSVPs, Pulse events — is anonymizedrather than deleted, with the author field set to a generic “Deleted gardener” placeholder, so other users' context around those items (an upcoming session they RSVPed to, a comment thread they're part of) is preserved.
If you need specific pieces of content hard-deleted rather than anonymized, say so in your deletion request.
We may terminate or suspend your account without notice if you violate these Terms, and may do so with notice for any reason on 30 days' notice. Sections 3, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.
10. Service availability; backups
Reseed is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim for reasonable uptime but do not promise any specific level. We keep routine backups; deleted data may persist in a backup for a short period before rotation.
11. Disclaimers
Reseed is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that information on the service is accurate, or that any particular session will actually take place or include other participants.
You are responsible for your own safety when you connect with other players. Do not share personal information with strangers. Reseed does not verify the identity of users beyond what Clerk's OAuth flows provide, and a session listing is not an endorsement of its host.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Reseed, its operator, or any contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service, whether based on contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
In any case, the total aggregate liability of Reseed to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reseed, its operator, and any contributors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your content, (b) your use of the service, or (c) your violation of these Terms or of any third-party right.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Reseed agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is the state and federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction (for example, the European Union or United Kingdom) whose law guarantees you the right to bring suit in your country of residence, this clause does not override that right.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced with an updated effective date at the top. If you don't agree with a change, stop using the service before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you've accepted the revised Terms.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Reseed regarding the service.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor of the project.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
